Since 2013, we have accomplished our mission by providing youth leadership programs, adolescent parent support services, and community education.
Through these services, Project DEAMHI, Inc. combats the stigma that surrounds mental health topics so that people do not feel isolated in their struggles. Everyone deserves a safe space to discuss and explore their emotional wellness. We seek to create those spaces in community settings throughout St. Louis.
“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”

Protocols and Resources
Project DEAMHI, Inc.’s main provision of safety against the spread of Covid-19 is to offer virtual weekly support groups and virtual case management sessions in combination with in-person connections with our clients until vaccinations can increase with staff and consumers.
During in-person connections, the following CDC guidelines are followed:
a) Wear a face cover at all times
(with the exception of young children under age 2, or anyone who has trouble breathing);
b) Put 6 feet of distance between staff and client;
c) Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces after each interaction with a family;
d) Utilize verbal, text and email consent to participate to minimize the contact of client and paper/writing instrument exchanges.
